The New Year 2014 Begins

The heavy rain soaked the ground next to the sidewalk.  It’s hard for some of us to believe that only yesterday it was freezing  and today we’re blessed with 65 degrees with sunshine. Life is Good and a great day to take a walk outside!

  1. It was 45 degrees in Michigan today, with still a good foot of snow on the ground, mixed with huge holes filled with water and ice. I will keep your lovely park pictures in mind as I await spring…

    • We still have had no snow this winter with rain predicted for this week. The temperature right now is 46 degrees with a low of 36 tonight and back up to 57 tomorrow. Saturday the sun will be back but only projected high of 43. I’ll remember this weekend of summer-like weather, too.

  2. Life is good, Mary, and your wonderful pictures confirm that! Excellent post.

  3. Great job. I love the outdoor shots.

  4. Happy New Year. The park is very beautiful and peaceful.

  5. I was going to comment that you must live in the South, then I browsed around and found other photos of yours from the Atlanta area. That’s where I’m from. Funky weather we have been having. Too bad my husband never listens to me when I tell him to flush out the sprinkler system (he believes it never gets cold enough here). We now have to tear up the driveway.

    • Yes, the weather lately has been unpredictable and lots of people did not heed the warnings. Fortunately, I kept my water line running so my pipes did not freeze when it got down to 11 degrees that one morning. Happy New Year…

  8. Looking forward to the adventures ahead. Day 11 and 354 days to go!!! 🙂
